Planting onions

We're doing a little experiment - do rabbits like onions?

There is evidence of rabbits, and lots of them, on the land so planting cabbages or lettuce seems foolish until we can fence off an area. But what about onions? I bought a bunch of white onion sets from the market and decided to see.

With instruction from my Mum, who's been visiting us for a few days, we cleared a small area of stones. The soil underneath looks surprisingly fertile which we're really chuffed about.

Bring it on bunnies....
