28 Feb 08It ain't red but it's certainly rocky. It took Dave and the electric thumper all day to chunk out space for two tyres in our ever so solid piece of rock. I quietly pounded away at the other end of the front face (it's certainly turning into an Everest for us).
Total tyre count today was 5 pounded and two holes prepared.
Wooden Ducks? No, real live quacking ones. The carpenter who we bought the rustic beams from has given us 5 ducks. Not exactly what you expect from a carpenter but him and Dave were talking chickens and the next thing we knew we had 5 ducks as well as 11 chickens. Sooo.... of course a duck house and pond had to be built. We've converted our dip pool, which was originally our water tank, into their pond. And have created a covered area for the chickens to move into and the open area around the pond for the ducks to live in. They seem quite happy in their new home and are giving us lovely eggs every day.
The three white ones are the ladies and the other two the males.
