Levante Lifestyle Magazine

We're waiting with baited breath for this months Levante Lifestyle Magazine which should be out later this week. Hot and slow work Have I mentioned how hot it is here at the moment? Last year we didn't even think about working on the earthship in August, but this year we have the lovely satsuma tree to water every week. By the way, it's sprouted lots of fresh green leaves and seems to be surviving ok. So while we're at the land watering we may as well do some work - rude not to - but it's hard going. This week we've been putting the back beam on. Here's Dave bending down the rebars to make room for it.

And here is the far end done - yes that is all we did today.

This joint was a laugh. We spent ages working out what angle to cut it at so we could spin the shorter part and fit them together seemlessly. They say measure twice, cut once, well that only works if you know how to work out the measurement in the first place. We obviously didn't and had to cut twice. It fitted neatly in the end though.
